Cat fighting and playing
There are cats on the streets which behave tough with other cats. The cats that are the pets let out their extra energy by being very playful and at times could even bite the arms or legs playfully.
Cat fighting and playing – The difference
During most of the time, you might misinterpret the cats which are fighting as to be playing with each other. Since you do not want your cats to get hurt, it is important that you figure out what actually is the situation and prevent the fighting. Some signs of a cat fight are screaming, one cat being dominant over the other and a cat getting wounded.
One way to avoid the cat fighting is to separate the cats by distraction. This could be done by a harsh and loud voice upon which the cats cease the fight as they seldom prefer loud noises. An alternative is to use a spray bottle on the cats as they don’t like water in general. Once the cats cease fighting, they could then be separated by the owner.
Cat play is a natural for a cat and you should not interfere with the playing. Exposing other actives for the cats can help with the playing, when the playing seem to get to intense. Have plenty of toys for the cats to play with, their own scratch post, or their own area to play in.
However, if the cat is playing, you should not interfere in the same. If there is more than one cat in a house, you must make sure that each of the cats gets a comfortable place to rest. There are however possibilities that the cats share the same area if they come from the same breed. When the cats play with each other, it results in a good communication and hence they develop a healthy relationship among themselves.
