Training Your Kitten To Behavioral Issues &

Accustom To Basic Commands

Training your cat to listen to basic commands can be done with ease. For instance, a basic thing that all kittens do is scratching others using their claws. To stop this behavior of your cat, as an initial step, strike on your kitten’s claws softly so that they take back their paws. Once they do so, appreciate them this deed in such a way that they understand. Most cats do this not as a means to hurt you but it is part of a cat’s behavior. Therefore, while you teach them to stop scratching you, you should not reward them with food because it may become a habit for the cat to expect food every time they do so. This training should be continued for a certain number of weeks.

An important thing that you should consider is your polite actions towards to your cat while you teach them. Showing harsh actions on the cat may turn back on you by the cat’s aggressive actions towards you.

The process of training your cat to listen to basic commands, like making it to stay while it moves away, should be performed with care and concentration. Hence, the place of training should be isolated without any sort of distractions. In addition, the training should be given everyday before dinnertime. Make your cat to sit in a smooth surface right in front of your eye. Try to concentrate on your cat and make it do so too. Whenever your cat tries to move away, shout the cat’s name softly and point your hand in a way to direct it to sit in its place. Once the cat listen to you, rewards it with a small piece of the food that you had brought.
