A bell could be hung down from the door with which the cat will play with and eventually rings the bell. This method is very advantageous because of the reason that it helps the cat learn things the funnier way and also such bells which come in different sizes are relatively cheaper. Also a considerable amount of catnip could be put on the bell which will attract the cat to play with it. When the cat is taught how to use the bell, they could make use of them so as to alert you when they are willing to get inside. You can train the cat to use the bell by showing them to ring that bell and reward them when they do so.

As an alternative, a cat door could be purchased which is small enough for the cats to enter. As such you are relieved of the job of opening the door when they wish to get in. Such doors could be installed either in the doors or in the wall. Also, the size of such a door must be big enough to let your cat go in and out. After the cat door has been installed, the cat should be trained to use that door which could be learnt easily over a period by the cat from whereon the cat uses the door on their own without your command.

If the cat is rightly trained to use the door, you could have a sense of relief and sleep peacefully all through the night. You need not have to worry if the cat is comfortable by spoiling your sleep.
