House training the cat
The cat could do all the mess in the house such as climbing the curtains, jumping on tables or chairs, ripping off the rugs, spoiling the decorations and so on. For those who have such constant problems with the cat in the house, certain tips are provided which help them overcome the same:
Since cats are attracted towards the curtains of the house and are tempted to climb those which might then be chewed up by the cat. This problem could be resolved by the use of tension rods along with the curtains. Such rods produce an annoying noise for the cats whenever they try to climb the curtains.
Using vertical blinds are good for houses that have cats, as they could not climb such blinds made of plastic. However, they could move a slat that is present on the blind and have a view of the outside world without damaging the whole thing.
To put an end to the cat’s habit of chewing cords and other things, a bitter substance could be placed on the item which the cat would avoid from the very first time it chews it. However, make sure that the cat chewing the item placed with a bitter substance will in no way damage the item.
Cats also show interest in digging the garbage. Two ways to overcome this situation is to feed the cat regularly and adequately, and the next way is to close the garbage can firmly. Further, the garbage can could be placed out of the sight of the cat.
Whenever cats try to jump on items, place things on them that would produce noise which annoys them. Since you do not want your cat to rip off the carpet, getting it a scratch post will be apt for the situation.
